There are 4 English-language radio stations that I can tune-in on shortwave radio:

The BBC World Service is generally my first choice, mostly because I know what station it comes in on and what time.  That, and I like their international stories.

There’s also Voice of America, whose Khmer-language broadcast is popular here.  They also have a “Special English” broadcast for upper-level English-language learners.  VOA is a production of the US government, and explicitly says so before broadcasting editorials.

Radio Australia tends (unsurprisingly, given its location) to cover the Asia/Pacific region more in-depth than the BBC.

And then there’s everyone’s perennial favorite, China Radio International, which I would have less of a problem with if they didn’t broadcast on frequencies irritatingly close to the frequencies of the other broadcasts listed above.

All 4 stations broadcast in multiple languages.
